So you want to do a day trip? [Philadelphia, PA]

Well, well! I’m a big fan of day trips, too, and it makes me happy to share with you some of the things I’ve grown to love about my new city.

In case you’re ever afforded the luxury of doing a day trip to Philly, here’s what I would recommend.

#1 Hike around Wissahickon or Graffiti Pier (see below).

#2 Grab a water ice from Siddiq’s.

#3 Take in all the smells at Reading Terminal Market. [Last time I was there I sampled 5 different kinds of bacon.]

#4 Admire all the artwork at Philadelphia Art Museum.

#5 Hang out on death row at Eastern State Penitentiary.

A few other things you might want to consider…

  1. Snag one of the specialty mojitos at Alma de Cuba.

  2. Hang out at the Mütter Museum.

  3. Or, if you’ve got kiddos, swing by the Please Touch Museum.

If you’ve been to Philly, what are your favorite things?!

Always,

Kaia
